House MJ
House MJ is a complete interior renovations of the basement and ground floor as well as a second floor addition. It attempts to instill a sense of wonder and playfulness while meeting the functional needs of an expanding family. It invites the members of the house and their guests to let loose and express themselves to each other.
The first floor encourages a circular movement around the kitchen core. The stair core is articulated as an intrusion into the first floor with its diagonal geometry and contrasting materiality.
